Simplifying Your Sketches
Saturday 3/8
2 – 4 PM 

Spend the afternoon creating simple line sketches in this new class. This workshop will take you through exercises meant to help you simplify and clarify the focus of your drawings. Together we will discuss composition and positioning of items. This class is great for beginners and aspiring artists who wish to build confidence. Everyone will take home Robin’s favorite erasable pen to continue their practice at home. Please bring your own sketchbook.

Colorful Portrait Illustration
Saturday 3/15
10 AM – 12 PM 

Join artist Robin Haugen of neonrobin and learn a unique approach to capturing facial features with acrylic paint on plexiglass. Together we will focus on choosing colors and mixing tones for a graphic look following exercises which explore drawing the elements of a face. This class is great for anyone interested in exploring color and portrait design. All supplies are provided.

Birds on a Brand Illustration
Saturday 4/12
10 AM – 12 PM 

Create this fun Birds on a Branch illustration with artist Robin Haugen of neonrobin. You will use ink and watercolor pencils to draw and color your piece. Robin will also focus on creating a balanced composition and techniques to add depth in your design. All supplies are provided, and you will leave with your final piece on premium watercolor paper.

Sketching Nature
Friday 4/18
2 – 4 PM 

Fill the blank pages of your personal sketchbook. In this class Robin will walk you through multiple exercises to encourage you to build an ongoing sketching habit. Together, we will do field study sketches of found objects using various drawing tools. The primary goal of this class is to embrace making mistakes and starting over while sketching. Please bring your own sketchbook.

Grow Your Sketching Practice
Friday 1/17
1 – 3 PM 

Let's spend the afternoon sketching. This workshop will take you through three drawing exercises to begin filling the blank pages of your personal sketchbook. Together we will focus on creating confidence and enjoying the process. This class is great for aspiring artists who wish to build the habit of drawing for fun. Sketching Perspective
Saturday 2/22
1 – 3 PM 

Spend the afternoon learning about perspective in drawing. This class will take you through an introduction exercise and then explore two drawings that utilize different types of perspective. Together we will focus on creating depth and adding shadows with the goal of creating confidence and enjoying the process. This class is great for beginners and aspiring artists who wish to build on their drawing practice.

Create a Vision Board
Saturday 1/25
2 – 4 PM 

Set your intentions for the year ahead! Robin has been creating vision boards for years and she will share her process with you in this fun class. The class will start with five prompts to help you clarify your vision before building a collage of inspiration. Robin will discuss the basics of designing with text and color while you enjoy the creative process of cutting and pasting inspiring visuals and phrases from magazines and other provided materials.

  
Holiday Sketching
Friday 12/13
2 – 4 PM 

Join this holiday-inspired drawing session. In this class, students will explore techniques for capturing the essence of three seasonal favorites  – a winter wreath, a pine cone and an Amaryllis bloom. Robin will share her tips for finding success with her favorite erasable pen. Together we will focus on creating confidence and enjoying the process. This class is great for beginners and aspiring artists who wish to build the habit of sketching for fun. Everyone will take home their erasable pen to continue their practice at home.

  
City Street Illustration
Saturday 12/21
2 – 4 PM 

Take inspiration from iconic St. Louis-style architecture to create a colorful city neighborhood illustration. This illustration class is perfect for beginners who are interested in expanding their drawing abilities. You will utilize pencil, archival ink pens and watercolor markers to add layers of color and interest to your drawing. Participants will take home a completed illustration on mixed media paper, as well as new skills to add confidence to your personal art practice.
